We founded this Farmers Field School to create an innovative and inspiring experience to every farmer, providing an opportunity for more exploration and research in agriculture, agroforestry and climate smart agriculture alongside other value chains attached to these activities.

Activities undertaken at our Farmers Field School
Seedling Propagation & Nursery Management
TFK- Farmers Field School has constructed a modern propagator to help speed up seed germination, rejuvenation of seedlings after grafting and sprouting of cuttings. Farmers are trained on this technique and have an opportunity to buy seedlings to their farms for planting. We also train on nursery establishment and management, where seedlings from the propagator

Aquaculture Trainings
We have set up ponds with different dimensions for controlled rearing of fish, mainly tilapia and catfish. Their food is also formulated and processed in the farm offering a cheaper option and an interesting experience to every farmer trained. Apiculture & Livestock Farming
The Farmer Field School has integrated apiculture, commonly known as beekeeping to demonstrate to farmers on modern technologies and the symbiotic relationship between bees, crops and trees. We also keep poultry, goats and rabbits. Farmers have an opportunity to learn how livestock feeds are formulated from the farm. Manure obtained from these livestock is essential
